i've never installed a different dash, but several times i have had to remove the dash from my ae92..... it's pretty easy, but there's a lot to remove

first you have to drop the driver side lower dash.... take off the plastic covers that cover where the bolts are (and there are 2 bolts on the underside but they're easy to find)..... take the bolts off and lower the dash.... then you get to take out the black surrounding around the dash and the clock etc.... i think there are screws that hold that on as well.... then when you get that off (hint here.... the rubber surrounding around the ignition DOES come out) you can then remove the upper black portion and you'll have to unplug some wiring....

after you do all of that you can gain access to the 4 bolts that hold in the gauges themselves..... it will come out as one whole piece

me? yeah, sometimes it's "whole"..... heh, not right now... i don't have a trunk (well, it's there.... but it's all down to metal for now)..... i tend to do everything myself on my car, and my boredom gets to the best of me so i end up out there all the time figuring out what i can do for cheap

yeah... i've broken many parts as well.... i just don't tell anyone and if you can't tell, why should i? lol
